First off, I understand if the plugin author wouldn’t be interested in helping with this, as it is a complicated issue and outside of the scope of plugin development/support.

So, I have a long and sort of complicated question…

I’m building a site for a movie theater, and we have some very specific functionality we’d like to include in the site.

Here is what we’d like to be able to do:

Use a custom post type to have IMDB Connect do a query and display the name (which is input by a custom field) of a film, its poster, run time, plot of the film, and a show time (using a custom field), in a post. The author of the post just needs to populate two custom fields, one is the name of the film, and the other is the time the show starts, then press “publish” and have all designated movie details display. – all of which I have accomplished.

Posts can be assigned 1 of 4 categories, and I would like to be able to automatically display the movie title, show time, and movie poster for the newest post in each of the 4 categories on the home page of the site. How can I about doing this?

Is there any other information I can provide you with, or any details that would be helpful?

That’s probably easier than you might think. S the data be fetched from IMDb on hitting publish of should there be an as dirk oak button that fills in all fields in live mode so that you instantly know if its the tight detail. And then some code of your post type and meta boxes would be fine. And the last question: should anything end up in a taxonomy (genre for example?) Or does all go into post meta fields?

are you still interested in solving that matter? I’d love to help wherever I can.
