Long time to log in

  • For some reason recently, it’s taking a very long time to log in. It happens on a brand new installation or old and on different servers. Any ideas why?

  • I’ve been having the same problem which I do not know why.

    This is normal due to the amount of “activity” on the admin dashboard which fetches the (1) wordpress development blog, (2) latest activity and (3) other wordpress news.

    Removing (1) and (3) from the dashboard should speed things up significantly but you’ll have to hack the php file to achieve that. I’m not sure but I thought there was a plugin for an “alternate” dashboard.
