    Hi,

Today we released a new updated version of the plugin (1.15).

In order to keep all your permalinks intact after the WordPress 5.x upgrade, the latest version of the plugin must be installed BEFORE you upgrade to WordPress 5.x.

Can you please try out the latest version 1.15 of the plugin?

    Thank you.

    @antithesisgr

    I already try it.
    It’s working.

    Thank you,

Hello, I saw this post very late , i’ve upgraded to wordpress 5.x before updating the Longer Permalinks , so now i can see links trimmed.

so what could be the solution for this ?
    Please advice.

    Looking forward.

    Hi @ahmadaj88,
the problem is that now your URLs are already trimmed by MySQL. This happened during the update.
The only thing you can do (if backup/restore is not an option any more), is to generate again the slugs for the posts with long urls.
I don’t know how many posts/pages you have, maybe you can try to edit each post in your wp-admin, remove the slug by hand and let it be recreated when you save.
Or you can try some other plugin that can automatically regenerate all your slugs again (and longer URLs will work since you have “Longer Permalinks” active).

    Hello Again,

    thank you for your reply.
i’ve managed to make it working with this plugin

Permalink Manager , i’ve regenerated all links with it and it works just fine.

my question , for next updates in version 5 of WordPress, should i do this again every-time i update? or it will keep working?

@ahmadaj88 It should keep working correctly without any problems.
