Is there any way to put my logo directly to the left of my title (so it would sit in the top left hand corner of the homepage)? I tried the 2 options available under “Site Options” but in both cases the header/title and banner are pushed further down the page, which I don’t want. Here’s my page so you can see what I’m talking about:

If you are wanting the logo off to the left near the edge of the page, that now gets a little more complex because the structure of the containers the logo, title, and the main menu sit in. I honestly would not recommend that and to keep the logo vertically aligned with the main page content below. Making this kind of modification will also greatly affect the responsiveness layout in mobile devices.

If you want the logo off to the left (top left corner), then it means some messy coding is needed.

Thanks so much for all your patience and help. We decided we’re not going to use the logo after all. While I have you available could you please explain something else to me?

Under “customizing Site Options” there are several dimensions to choose from. I’ve tried different ones but couldn’t notice any difference in the layout. Can you explain them to me please?

A little suggestion about your logo image…if you can, perhaps shave off a little off the bottom white space, but keep the width as it is. Right now it’s pushing everything upward due to the height of the logo. If you make this adjustment, everything will move down a bit and be more vertically centered in the header area.

    You’re very welcome ??
As for your other question, which theme setting (dimensions) are you referring to?

    Longevity
    Page Width
    Full Width
    Boxed 1920px Width
    Boxed 1600px Width
    Boxed 1400px Width
    Boxed 1200px Width

Ah…those are the various page widths you can have. Right now, your site is using the Boxed 1600px width setting. If you choose a different one, it does not take effect on the front-end?

UPDATE: If you make the change but you still see your page as full width in your browser window, try resizing your browser window to be bigger. Ultimately the page widths are in pixels, so if your viewing window (and even resolution) is smaller than those dimensions, you probably won’t see the effect, whereas others who have larger monitors, resolutions, and/or viewing windows, will see it.

Okay, I think I get it now. The smaller the size, the more of the background you see. I was expecting the columns within the pages/posts to change. Thanks!

I just updated my last post….but yes, the smaller the size, the more background will be exposed. This only affects the overall page container size only. For the content itself, this is more of a pre-defined size only and not really changeable without doing some template overrides.

Did you have any more questions relating to your logo topic here, or is it safe to set this one as resolved?
