• After spending the day, looking for a simple accordion style FAQ, I thought I would never find a solution. Most I tried, either had horrible reviews, were crippled in the free version, or had other serious flaws. Even ran into one plug-in, which I will not embarass by name, that didn’t even provide the accordion feature without upgrading to the “pro” version.

FAQ Concertina has the quality that most free solutions, and even some paid solutions , are missing. Simple to get up and running quickly, and also has excellent documentation available on their website. It also plays nicely with CSS loading, by allowing the built in CSS to be turned off and migrated to the website’s overall CSS.

I highly recommend this plug-in, and be sure to support this developer with a donation.

One flaw, and that is probably user error, is I cannot use the preview post link after creating a new FAQ post without getting a 404. It’s not a huge issue for me, and again, it’s probably a flaw in my overall website setup.

Thanks so much for your kind comments and for your support. I’m delighted that you’re happy with my plugin.

I have just uploaded ver 1.1.2 which addresses the 404 problem you were experiencing. FAQs are now publicly queryable which means that they can each now appear on their own page addressable by the slug. A side effect of this is that the content of your FAQs can now be crawled by search engine spiders, so your FAQs now contribute to your SEO.

Thanks once again for your generous review.

    regards
    Michael
