Looking for a Blog Plugin.

Hi, I have an image based theme website and It’s all fine and all but I would like to have blog posts where just text is displayed on my home page, along side the images I’ve posted, the theme only gives a small column for text on the right while the image is displayed in the middle.

If I just wanted to post a text only post and I do, I don’t want a thumbnail on it, so people actually know it’s just general writing but the theme automatically puts a default thumbnail if one isn’t chosen. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you ??
