• I am looking for a plugin that members can add data to a form and then post it. Then other members can search the form to find information. Need to search by date, text, what was seen, and the like. I dried contact 7 to post with no luck. Is there a plugin out there that might work?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

How do you want to store this data? As a custom post type? A regular post? Just some form data?

Off the top of my head, I’d go with the last option and use the Pro version of the Formidable plugin, as you can use its Views feature to create user-entered searchable data: https://formidableforms.com/knowledgebase/create-a-view/

You might need a custom post type and a form to enter data, using for instance ninja forms plugin and then a search plugin such as search and filter pro, that performs searches on the custom-post type.

That is of a complexity for which you might need an expert developer

Just a note: Should you go with a custom post type approach, there are plugins that provide front-end entry (keeping them out of the wp-admin part of your site). I agree that you will probably need an experienced developer to accomplish this.

I recommend finding a developer at a local WordPress meeting rather than finding someone on the web. Dealing with a local means you’re dealing with a real person, with a real reputation, and probably will be able to check local references. Should you opt to solicit more general offers, please try https://jobs.wordpress.net/ or https://jetpack.pro/ and do not accept any hire offers posted to these forums.
