Looking for a plugin

  • Is there any sort of plugin out there that automatically pings weblog directories such as blo.gs when you have just published new content to your blog?

  • WordPress automatically communicates with Ping-o-matic. This is its default behaviour. It does so whenever you publish something, so you needn’t tinker with anything or change any settings. Let it do its thing. *smile*

    No plugin required. WordPress does that itself. See “update services” under Options/Writing.

    By default, WP will ping Pingomatic, which automagically notifies loads of services…

    I see only one site listed, that means if you want to add additional sites you would have to put them yourself manually, right?

    Yes, you can add additional services if you want, but Ping-O-Matic contacts all the major services on your behalf. Read all about it at pingomatic.com.
