Looking for a specific appointment setting plugin (free)

    I made a site for a dry cleaning business and they’re in need of an appointment scheduling plugin which only allows zip codes within a certain radius. They specifically only want the radius of the zip codes to be within a five mile radius. Are there any free plugins out there like this? My current appointment plugin doesn’t have this feature.

    Please advise.

    I don’t think any appointment plugins would limit scheduling by zip code. What you may need to do is have a sort of pre-screening form that verifies zip code. Upon success, then visitors would have access to the scheduling process. I doubt there’s any plugin that can determine zip codes within 5 miles of any arbitrary point. It may be necessary to compile a list of valid zip codes and have the pre-screening process simply check if the visitor’s zip code is on the list or not.

    If this requirement/functionality is crucial, then you’re looking at custom coding. Highly unlikely any free plugin will have this sort of feature built in.

    May I ask why this feature is needed?

    I presume if your clients are too far away, they wouldn’t want to schedule a physical visit in the first place?
