Looking for a Widget that…

  • First, I want to say I was a bit confused. I thought www.ads-software.com and wordpress.com were one in the same and supported the same thing. So when I posted this on wordpress.com in their Widgets forum I was told to come here as there is no ‘widgets’ forum in wordpress.com and I am using the php download application of wordpress. My bad, I guess. But since I don’t see a Wigest forum here, I’m assuming this is Plugins forum is correct. Widgets are Plugins, right?

    So, off to my topic, I hope.

    I’m looking for a Widget that:

    Reads an email box periodically and posts what it finds to a scrolling sidebar in the order received with the date/time, subject and the short body (1-2 lines). The maximum number of displayed/retained entries is admin configurable.

    I know there are widgets/plugins that do this for twitter and other social sites, but I’m in China and all but WeChat are blocked. So perhaps email is my only recourse.
