Looking for code sample to create Events programatically

Hello EM community,

I’m looking for some sample of code that can help me to create my own events programmatically.

I have to import a lot of events into my site. I can access to an external DB wich contains original events.
I want to read and insert them into my site as EM events.

Any idea, code or existing plugins ?
