I run a community for handmade businesses in the province. Our members are looking for a way to have a calendar of upcoming craft shows on the website. Ideally I’d like for people to be able to submit their events themselves, and I’d just review them once a week. Right now we have a calendar but I have to manually enter everything and it take up a lot of time. Is there such a calendar that allows visitors to enter events themselves? Even if I have to pay to get this done, that’s fine. It’s something our province is in desperate need of.

    Thanks!

You might want to take a look at the Ajax Event Calendar plugin and see if it meets your needs.

Yes but from my understanding, visitors can’t add events? – Which is the whole purpose

    From the FAQ:

“Q. Is there a way to configure the WordPress to allow users that come to the site to can register and create their own events (so not every event would need to be created by the administrator)?

    A. Absolutely! If you allow users to self-register and you’ll need to change WordPress settings so that the default role assigned to new users is Calendar Contributor.”

I don’t want people to have to register though. I want people to be able to come to the site and add an event quickly without having to sign up or log in etc.

I think that’s an unwise approach to take. Unless you really want anyone with a web browser in the entire world to be able to add events to your calendar anonymously?
