• Hi,

I have a new blog and am still learning. I have a long list of ideas and enhancements I’d like to make and could use some feedback. I’d love it if you could take a look and let me know what you think. Have any tips and tricks to share? What do you like or not like about it?

    It is called TrailPotato.

    Thanks for your time!

    Brian

The header image is very large. Users with small monitors might not know to scroll down to get to the content, or might not be enticed to.

Make sure you move changes you’ve made on the theme’s files, into a Child Theme. Otherwise changes made will erase once you update the theme. The default themes are also important for debugging, therefore should not be edited.

RSS ‘Subscribe to reader’ text in the sidebar looks squashed beside the RSS log, you could add spacing here.

The rest of the website looks very similar to the theme it derives from, so I’m not sure what you want me to review and what benefit it would be to you.

Funny you mention the header. I was struggling with that earlier today. When I messed with the size it stretched the photo. I still have some research to do on that and Child Themes.

Thanks for your time and help!
