• Hi all

A long while back I inserted a ScrollToTop code piece I found on the net and got a nice working site.

I would like to change the button image but for the life of me can’t find what I modified to update it. (too long ago and I never wrote it down)

I have a pretty much empty child theme folder with a default functions.php and style.css and the code isn’t in there.

tldr; Where could I start looking for a 2-3 year piece of code that inserts a ScrollToTop option ?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Would you have made a plugin for it?

Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes.

If you can install plugins, install “Health Check”: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/ On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site. You can then use its admin bar menu to turn on/off plugins and themes one at a time.

    Hi @sterndata

I wouldn’t have made the code a plugin. Too advanced for me at that point.

I recall editing some js file/s and something else. I assume somewhere in the theme I’ve got my child based on, but I can’t find any.

My plugin functionality is fine at this point but I’ll run a health check anyway, thanks.

Use the plugin “string locator” to search for the tags that are used by your code.

Health check came back all green.

Running through the trouble shooting locates the problem in the theme I am using, so I’ve modified something in that area.

    Plugins on/off showed no connection.

I’ll give your suggestion a run.
