looking for widget that scrolls text articles horizontally

    I’m looking for a widget to format music reviews within a page as horizontal slides, 1 slide per review, with an emphasis on TEXT content rather IMAGES, and each review has its own custom URL.

    Similar to the functionally seen in this example:

    Is there a Page Builder widget that does the above? I’ve had no success either within Page Builder or in the standard WordPress page editor.

    The Portflio (Carasoul) widget in Page Builder doesn’t seem right – for one thing it forces a permalink with “/blog/portfolio” in the url, which conflicts with URL structure I currently use for my site .

    Every other plugin I’ve looked at features slides/screenshots that are all heavy on images and don’t seem to be even close to what I’m looking for.

    Hi Mike

    Try the LiveMesh posts carousel widget: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/livemesh-siteorigin-widgets/. It can be setup for text only.

    Hi Andrew,

    Thanks for the reply. I tried this plugin and it doesn’t deliver what I need.

    1. It only displays summaries of the included pages in the carousel, not the complete page content within a frame with left/right navigation.

    2. It doesn’t display any associated image with the text (I do need image display, despite my reviews being mostly text)

    3. There are no left/right arrows when this option is selected in setup. Just a hyperlinked headline to the full page.

    In other words, the result behaves nothing like this example:

    Was wondering if you have any other suggestions?

    Maybe a pagination plugin I don’t know about (I have tried several).

    Hi Mike

    Thanks for the thorough feedback and for taking a look at the Livemesh option. The Livemesh widget will display an image if you add a Featured Image to each post and it will display left and right arrows once enough posts are added and if the Prev/Next arrows setting is enabled. It won’t display full content though.
    That said, you’re right in that it isn’t a pagination widget, it’s a carousel.

    Livemesh Widgets and Widgets for SiteOrigin are two plugins that add widgets onto the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle:

    Beyond these two I, unfortunately am out of ideas.

    What you’re looking for is a essentially post loop pagination with only a left and a right arrow with Ajax so the page doesn’t reload. Here is an idea:
