Looking to customize appearance

The plugin is functioning beautifully and we’re very pleased.

I’m curious about two display aspects:

Width of bx-wrapper
< div class="bx-wrapper" style="max-width: 1060px;" >
Firebug displays a max-width of 1060px, when the max width of the parent div is 1140px. How is that max-width calculated and can I over ride it? I’d like to make it wider so that the arrows do not sit on top on the images, and instead side to the left and right of the images on the white background.

Placement of the bx-caption
Ideally, I would like to the captions to appear beneath the images, as shown in this mockup –

Is that possible with custom css or php?
