Spam protection could do beter and should be better in version 3

  • Nice plugin, however it dus not prevent spam well enough and I have seen no options to integrate recaptcha or something similar. I have seen spam come in with images in the body. Very annoying, so I went back to an old contact form for now.

    Update: This review was based on version 2 of Tripetto. I am going to give version 3 a try as is should be a lot better now.

    Hello Joris,

    First of all, thank you very much for your review! Too bad, you had to switch back to an old contact form, though we fully understand in your case. Yes, you are right; the current version (v2.x.x) doesn’t come with built-in spam protection. But that’s about to change! We were working on a whole different approach for fighting contact form spam. A solution that would eliminate the need of captcha’s, as users don’t always like them.

    The solution is already available in our Studio version of Tripetto, and it is coming to WordPress very soon! It is part of our big upcoming update for the WordPress plugin. We hope to release it later this week or begin of next week.

    We hope we can get a second chance, and you can use Tripetto again for your contact form. Actually, it would be a perfect test case to see if our anti-spam solution works for you!

    Hi Joris,

    Just to let you know: The new version (v3.x.x) of the plugin has landed and now includes a unique SPAM protection out-of-the-box. So no more SPAM and also no need for captchas!
