Looks Great in browser
-
The plugin works great in the browsers. I like the way I can present 360 photos online. I like how the 360 photos show up on a page and that I don’t have to rely on facebook anymore.
I have some issues with support. On two separate occasions, installing updates on my site broke my registration and I was not able to proceed. Thankfully, it didn’t impact existing tours just my ability to modify or create new ones.
When this happens, the request can’t be “please give us admin access to your site so we can poke around”. When talking to support, I get 1 crack at it per day. My response comes the next morning so progress is usually very slow.
I mentioned the browser works great but on my phone, the link captions don’t show up except when I’m actually clicking on them for a sub-second. The phone experience just isn’t the same as the browser.
I’ve also requested a few times, enhancements on setting up / linking photos. The interface is very clunky and time consuming and I think they could make this process easier (specifically with pitch and yaw of the receiving link).
Also, autorotation ruins any default pitch and yaw you set. It goes there but then quickly centers to the default values no matter what I do. That’s one of the questions I asked about mentioned above.
Overall, I’m still glad I registered my plugin and I will continue to use it but until changes are implemented, I’ll probably cut back on supporting 360 photos on my site.
BTW the other question I asked about was how to center a tour on my page. There’s no feature for this unless I have to go build a specific style somewhere. As of 2/22/2024 – the plugin has unregistered itself again and is not allowing premium features (which is unfortunate because I paid for a lifetime subscription). My e-mail inquiries have gone unanswered.
