Looks horrible

  • I was so excited to set this up! I put a log in box on my side bar and I put the comments form at the bottom (sub footer) on the page and then when I went to the front end to view it…..

    I was horribly disappointing that it had this bleak skinny type and the spacing was all off and it basically looked like SHIT..

    DELETE and move on. Wasted an hour of my time. If I can not get the FREE version to look at least somewhat nice I sure would not be interested in a paid version.

    Hey @thompsonaire, by design the plugin adds only minimal styles to ensure basic form structure, alignment, and such. Everything else is left to your theme template. Because with WordPress, that’s the whole purpose of themes: to display your site’s content as desired. Adding styles and changing front-end appearance is not really “plugin territory”, it’s the theme’s job.

    The whole idea is for plugins to leave styling up to the theme template, so your theme styles can shine through for all elements, text, lists, form fields, and everything else.

    Plus consider that there are gajillions of themes out there, so trying to second-guess and provide specific styles for each of them is .. well, unrealistic at best.

    In any case, thanks for the feedback. I wish all themes provided amazing form styles, but sadly some are lacking in that department.
