    Hello Alex!

    Thanks for it!

How can the featured image be displayed on the Post pages?

    Hi Tamas! Thank you ??

Set Post Format > Image and the featured image will be displayed up top on the post.

So yes, this does work, but it seems a bit of a workaround. Every time I create a post, I have to change the post type from “standard” to “image”. That’s annoying. I know that I can change Settings > Writing > Default Post Format from “standard” to “image”, but after doing that, for every new post, Gutenberg creates an image block in the content by default, which I then have to delete.

I would prefer to have the post type of “standard” display the featured image at the top, especially if we could invent some other way to hide the featured image on selected posts.

I’m having the same issue. Even when I set the default post to Image style in the Settings:Writing it still comes through as a “standard” post.

Is there anything else you can suggest to modify this behavior? I’m looking to auto post from another site via RSS feed and this is a real sticking point.

    Thanks!
