Looks Pretty but Functions Meh…

  • I will say, their demo’s look great. Too bad they don’t look like that or function like that once installed.

    I have had constant issues trying to get this plugin to work. Their support, which I have to say does respond in a timely manner, either tells me I have to use their theme or that the errors I am experiencing will be “fixed in the next update”. How many times have we heard that?

    The idea that I have to use their theme to use their pluing is ridiculous. Who is going to change their sites theme. There are very few plugins that I can think of the would require a new theme to be installed in order to use their plugin. So, that is a HUGE minus for this plugin. It is NOT versitale.

    And finally, did any one else notice how many FIVE STAR reviews this plugin is getting. There are 4-5 reviews coming in every week. Reviews for this plugin come in more frequently than more popular (and far better) plugins like the classic editor, woocommerce, wpforms, etc.

    And if you look closely at the profiles of the “users” giving these reviews you will notice that most of them have little to no activity. They are brand new users. It certainly looks like this plugin is paying for fake reviews.

    Overall, I think I am stuck with this plugin for now. Maybe their false promises of “updates coming soon” will eventually happen. But I am not holding my breath.

    I am giving them three stars…. just to be nice… but honestly… this plugin barely deserve two.

    Let me clear the situation a bit more. Every theme has several features and designs which make the theme unique. Therefore there are few designs and features that directorist themes provide uniquely. Please note that all the functionalities are available at the core plugin and you can use any of the themes to achieve these functionalities. However, to achieve specific theme designs and features you might need to install that specific theme. This is normal for any of the products in the market.

    About the updates, there are plenty of changes coming in version 8 and as a result, version 8 is being taken some time to be released. The most vital change that is coming in version 8 is that we are bringing a general theme that will contain all the features and designs of all the premium themes so that users can get any of the designs at any part of the site to get their desired design. As the change is vital, this is why version 8 is taking longer to release.

    In regards to your observations on reviews, I want to assure you that all our 5-star reviews are authentic, and we do not engage in any practices involving fake reviews.     I agree with this. The reviews do not match my experience at all. YOU CANNOT GET SUPPORT TO FOCUS ON YOUR LAUNDRY LIST OF ISSUES THAT KEEP GROWING BC THEY DON’T PROVIDE SUPPORT FOR THEIR MANY MANY ERRORS THAT COME UP AND THEY CAN ONLY FIX. YOU ARE LEFT WITH A MESS.
