Loop counter?

Hello there! Its possible to add counter in template loop?
e.x If i have post per pages 10 i want to change the styling of the posts after the 5th post… Its that possible? Thanks…$counter = 0;
if ($counter < 5){
//some stuff
} else {
//some stuff
}
