Loop posts in 2 section with pagination on category (pause/continue loop?)

  • Hello there!
    I am trying to show (eg. 9) posts from category per page (pagination) separated in two “sections”:
    1. 5 posts – with big image (main-split-left)
    2. other 4 – with small images (main-split-right)
    — under that, if more posts (eg. 18), show the pagination (paged, next/previous or w/o numbered)

    I am confused about it.

    Is that possible somehow to get the solution?

    Well, 2 “sections” (left – 5 posts with big thumbnails, right – 4 posts with small thumbnails), total with 9 posts from category per page (if more posts, eg. 18, pagination is shown up – next page or page number).
