I need your support on a subject.

For example: visitor examines xxxx job listings page.

There are 150 listings on that page.

an listing attracts the visitor’s attention.

After reviewing the ad, the browser returns to the page where it is left with “fall back”.

but at this stage, the whole page is at the top.

When the visitor comes to the 100th listing, he loses where he is.

because of this i get a lot of complaints.

    and

    I’m losing visitors.

    how can I prevent this?

I show in detail in the video: https://gofile.io/d/M68feu

    Hi @aga2442 ,

This is for the Load more type of pagination, correct?

If so, this is expected behavior. If you’d like to see a different experience, please submit an enhancement request here: https://github.com/Automattic/WP-Job-Manager

That will allow other users to comment. When it comes to enhancement/feature requests, the developers use the number of requests as part of the decision-making equation that goes into whether to implement it.

For a workaround, you can try using the shortcode to enable classic pagination, which will most likely result in the desired behavior:
    [jobs show_pagination="true"]

    hello @cena

I am not an github user.

but the feature I want is available on this site:

    https://demo4.madrasthemes.com/jobhunt/jobs/

(The theme on this site is wpjm.)

I am sure; it’s not just for me. it will be useful for everyone.

    you should definitely be interested.

It is very important for the future of wpjm.

@aga2442 — NEVER MIND, saw your video and see my next post below.

@aga2442 — I watched your video of your paginated job listings, and my job listings don’t behave that way (when user clicks the “back” button on the browser, it goes back to the page of the job listings they were on previously). So, it might be a plugin or theme conflict on your site. When your other plugins are disabled and on a default (e.g. Twenty Twenty theme), do you still have this issue?

    hello @hastibe

this problem is not only on my site.

it is the same on all websites.

I have tested on many themes.

    sample theme:

    https://workscout.in/jobs/

    please test.

    Scroll to page 2.3.4.

    visit any listing.

    then come back.

all listings return to the top.

but I think a special work has been done on this site.

    @aga2442 ,

As mentioned, this is currently default behavior. If you’d like to see a different experience, please submit an enhancement request here: https://github.com/Automattic/WP-Job-Manager

For a workaround, you can try using the shortcode to enable classic pagination, which will most likely result in the desired behavior:
    [jobs show_pagination=”true”]

    Closing as resolved for now.

    Best,
    Cena
