Hello, I use a child theme for my website and want to switch back to the primary theme and use it. When I do, all my Max Menu submenu items are gone. The menu shows that Max Mega Menu is enabled, but the submenu items are nowhere to be found.
    Anyone have an idea why?
I can’t leave the URL here because it is a private site for my client’s clients.
    Thanks,
    Michael

    Hi Michael,

If you mean you lose the widgets that you’ve added to sub menus, then those sometimes get moved (by core WordPress) to the “Inactive Widgets” sidebar when you switch theme. You’ll need to go to Appearance > Widgets and drag the widgets from the “Inactive Widgets” sidebar and put them back into the “Max Mega Menu Widgets” sidebar.

Otherwise I am not sure why you would lose menu items when switching theme. Are the menu items still in the menu structure under Appearance > Menus? If they are, do you see them output in the page HTML?

    Regards,
    Tom

The widgets were indeed in the Inactive Widgets and all I needed to do was drag them. Thank you!
