• Over the past 6 months, every time I update I lose another function on my wordpress. I am not losing photos but have nothing in my gallery. On my dashboard setting page for media gallery, it says I have over 3000 photos, yet will not list them. I am no longer getting data statistics for my site on my dashboard. I use BASTATS. Also, on my pages where I have photos, the thumbnail for main photos is no longer viewable. When I go in to main edit directory using my Yahoo business accounts, all photos are in their correct folders. I do have backups for my entire site, and when reinstalled, problems still remain. One other note. Although comments are enabled, I have no comments and system will not allow comments to be posted.
I need this resolved as soon as possible. Thank you

nothing hidden. Using both Filezilla Client and Yahoo Business to access it

Willywiz69, please log into your dashboard, go to Settings > Permalinks’ & tell us what the permalink structure of your blog is, please.

Consider me now officially concerned. This is what occurred the last time I saw this. I truly hope I’m wrong. That’s happened before & it will again. Normally I don’t like making mistakes, but this time I really hope I’m wrong about this.

I’ll see you in the morning, unless another volunteer takes this over. I really need some sleep. Truthfully, you likely do, too, though that’s tough, I know, when you’re website’s messed up.

Willywiz69, is that the way you had it set initially? When I went to that particular page, I got a 404.

Please try going to ‘Settings > Permalinks’, then try saving a different permalink structure–postname would likely be good–& report back any error messages you receive. I suspect there will be at least 1.

I’ll check back when I’ve had coffee. Good morning to you.

made changes you suggest. no results. Can you look at my dashboard for me

Willywiz69, I wish I could–it’d likely get this problem resolved faster–but, no–none of us on the WordPress support forum have access either to your credentials or to your server. & please–for the sake of security–do *not* post those credentials here–this is a *very* public forum! (yeah–I’ve actually seen folks do that, so I’m just warning you, not that I think you’ll do so. But I’d be remiss if I didn’t speak up.

My profile details are available at:
    https://profiles.www.ads-software.com/abletec
& there is a ‘Contact Us’ page on the website listed in that profile if you wish to pursue that avenue further.

I realize it must seem I’m making this really hard for you. However, there are some *very* strict rules on the forum regarding volunteers soliciting private contact, as well there should be, so I’m now trying extremely hard to remain within those acceptable parameters while still providing you a way to get in touch if you feel that’s something you wish to do.
