Losing Ground Over Time

  • This used to be my favorite SMTP plugin to use, but it’s gotten less intuitive to set up as changes have been made over time. And today I see that they put the “test connection” behind the license paywall. :-/ Testing seems to be a pretty core functionality. Not a classy change.

    We’d really like to help restore your faith in WP Mail SMTP, by addressing what you’ve shared with us.

    Just for reference, what specific changes have led to WP Mail SMTP being less intuitive? We ask because the UI for WP Mail SMTP has been mostly the same for quite some time.

    Also by “test connection” do you mean sending a test email? If yes, that feature is still in the lite version of WP Mail SMTP. It’s been moved to the “Tools” menu item along with the other utility/troubleshooting features.
