Losing login

  • I’m sorry, I don’t know how to search this. I have worked on dozens of sites and experiencing something for the first time. When I go to “visit site” I lose the Dashboard connection that’s usually the top bar of the page. I have to use “back” to get back to the admin. This is the same install that I’ve used on Google numerous times so I’m confused at what might be missing/unchecked and it’s happening on the client’s two sites with the same hosting so again I’m wondering what I missed in the configuration.

  • Can you replicate the problem using the default Twenty Fourteen theme with all plugins deactivated?

    Hmm, you’re right I didn’t think to try that. I have a basic child theme that I’ve used a number of times. Oh great, now I have to look through the code to find my error. Hoped it was WordPress’ fault. ??
