• Hi,

I use the rookie theme for our handball club. I seem to ‘lose’ the main menu item as soon as it is activated, see my site: https://www.hv-arena.be. I am not as shavy to program CSS or php at all, so I would like to ask you if there is a workable ‘dummy’ way to fix this?

Thanks for your helpful and sportive response.

    Joris

    HI Joris!

    Thanks for getting in touch!

Please make sure you have your menu set under Appearance > Menus. Wp will remove it when you switch themes

    Kind Regards,

    Hi Roch,

Thanks for your quick reply. The menu’s are listed under Appearance in WordPress. Perhaps I didn’t put my question right to you.

When I click an item in the main menu, that item goes blank, although it still exist. It is simply not visible on screen anymore.
    Here is the full menu
    full menu
    I click item J14
    missing j14
But the mouse over still works:
    mouse over works

I really hope the images are visible to you.

    Thanks again.

    Hi Joris!

This is actually easier than what I thought. Your active menu items are white.

It’s possible to change them but right now it looks like you have changed the active menu item bg to not be white so this works as well

    Kind Regards,

    Hi Roch,

Yes the color background change makes it work better. I was looking for a change of color of the menu items. The search item at the left hand side doesn’t stand out at all. It is hardly noticeable, which isn’t a good thing for the search item ;^o). Can the color of the menu item be changed?
