We purchased this plugin a few weeks ago, and since the latest update to 2.2.9, all the share counts on all my sites have been drastically reduced – more than once! For example – the home page on one of my site originally had a share count of 6000+; after updating it went to 4000+ and today it’s inexplicably at 513 shares. What’s going on? We purchased the plugin because we wanted to display an accurate share count – if we can’t get that, then I’m going to need to apply for a refund.

  • Same problem here. All the share counts have been massively decreased since the latest upgrade and it’s been 4 days. 15000 post shares went to only 450 shares. The Sharedcount API Key is working fine. We have tried using new API Key too. We have debugged and disabled transient cache. We have completely uninstalled the plugin and installed it again. Nothing is working.

It would be great if Rene Hermenau can help us out. I guess it’s a bug in the latest version.

    Thanks

The current version is only counting shares, no likes any longer. We are already notified about this and will bring back that feature with the next update. At the moment you can only downgrade to 2.2.7:

@rene Hermenau: Yes, you are right. I just checked the number of shares on sharedcount and they seem be exactly matching the number of shares on our site. BTW When are you releasing the latest upgrade with that ‘old feature’?

    Thanks a lot.

We are currently busy with tax declarations and development is on hold until finishing this. I can not tell you an estimated time point at the moment but asap.

    Fixed in latest version

    Hi

we are using masshare plugin (free version ) , as on site fresh article created
https://www.example.com/ total shared count are diffreent
https://www.example.com/magazine/editors-note-bunnies-on-the-line, as it shows total shared count : 8.5k
as same article have different shared no of count on sharedcount.com site:157 total

Below are Caching configured to Server
    ————————————-
memcached & edgecast caching method enabled,

so i have query regarding , each time when new article create it show total 8.5 instead of actually count

so is there caching mechanism impacting shared count values

Please write and let me know if there is some issue
