Losing Styling settings upon theme update. Child theme loses settings too

That’s hard to say, this could only be figured out by testing probably. May depend on the theme as well, if the code was edited manually it will reset after update.

Not 100% sure it will help, but definitely sounds like the resolution you’re looking for.

Thanks for using our theme, I’ve investigated your issue above. If you update the theme and your active theme is the parent theme. This will might remove all your previous settings and customization on the parent. I would advise using the created child for our theme. If you have still problem updating the parent theme. You could download the theme in the WP repository and update the theme using FTP/cPanel.
