Losing the customizations after updating the theme

  • I tried updating months earlier but because of the effect the update produces I rolled back. I thought it may be corrected in future versions. I tried today, I have the same results. Losing all the customizations.
    Is there a way to solve this besides picking every single customization I made?
    I was on version 2.0.8

    To avoid the issue, you can try upgrading on the staging site and if everything goes well, you can upgrade on your actual site.
    For the staging, you can try the wp-staging plugin.
