Lossy / Lossles and SPIO

    Hi. I’m a bit confused with what I assume is an easy question. I was previously using Shortpixel Image Optimizer. So, when I switched to this plugin, my images were already optimized. My understand, from what I’ve read on your site, is that I therefore should select “Lossless” with this plugin since my pre-existing images were already “lossy.”

    But – if I select “lossless” with this plugin what about future images I upload? Won’t they then not be maximally optimized since they will only be optimized in a “lossless” manner?

    So, in short, any SPIO users who want to use this newer plugin have to pay to the optimize the same images twice?

    Sorry if that sounded unduly harsh. I understand it’s a relatively minor cost. Just frustrated because through my own screwups I’ve already paid quite a bit to SPIO optimizing and re-optimizing the same images in sizes I didn’t need, which I didn’t understand at the time.
