• I could login after moving the site, but now, 2 days later, I get this message when trying to login:

    Forbidden

You don’t have permission to access /wpngjrysv3h5/wp-login.php on this server.

After moving the site to the root folder, and logging in successfully for the entire day through to testing folder, (www.douglasbacon.com/wpngjrysv3h5/wp-admin) I now can not login on either the root install, or the test install. The site runs well.

    What shall I do?
Shall I re-install wp and start over?

  • This may due to widespread massive attacks on servers – many people and hosting companies have been affected all day with this issue. Where is your site hosted – have you checked with them?

No, I wasn’t aware of this- was painting and sculpting today! Network Solutions hosts this particular site- I don’t have much rapport with them, hard to communicate with them, but will check their site to see if there is a message.

I was thinking of re-installing wp, do you recommend trying that, or just waiting it out for a bit?

    Thanks!!!

There was at least one other thread today about Network Solutions – I’d suggest checking with them before you do anything else.

I will wait until tomorrow, and if it still doesn’t work I will check with them. I was just transferring files to them, to try a fresh install, and the connection timed out immediately, so something is definitely not correct there, it seems.
    Thanks for the info-
    Eve
