• Hi, I’m working at Kansas Global Trade as an intern. I am working on a WordPress website and while I was trying to work on security issues I went to settings and changed my Site Address and my WordPress Address (both were http) to “https”, then I saved changes. Now I cannot neither log in the website nor have access to the page. What can I do?

    Thank you,

    Omar

You can fix this by editing wp-config.php. Set the old value for both those fields.

Is this doable without being logged in ?

And if not, do I have to complete all this steps in a text document?

You edit the file via FTP or your hosting control panel, not from within WordPress. Just those two defines.

I’m sorry for my low knowledge, what file are you talking about?

Could you please guide my step by step?

Want to make clear that I have access to the administrator account for this WordPress website, I’m not the administrator. The computer I’m working on is not the administrator one so I don’t know if that makes any difference.

The file is wp-config.php, in the root of your wordpress installation. Download it it and edit with you favorite editor or use the file manager application on your hosting control panel. Please contact your host if you need information about that. If you do not have access to the hosting, you’ll have to find the person who does.

Delete the plugin and report the problem here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/popups

Hi, since you are the only one that helps me, I am having another problem if you want to help me again. I just updated WordPress and now when I try to go to the heading option it never appears, it just shows a white screen. Also, when I go to theme colors, it does the same. What can I do??

    Thank you so much!
