• Hi,

We had a new site designed (not wordpress) and the DNS records where changed so that our new site is now situated at our original domain (which was made through wordpress).

I now cannot seem to find how to sign into our old wordpress site, which I still require access to for content, data and to hopefully host on another domain in case it is needed in the future.

Obviously now our /admin or Login.Php address leads to a 404 on the new site. What address would the old site default to in this situation?

  • Hello @evaswanston

There are a few ways to access your site, but as I read your topic the aim is to export your site data from old to new

    1. You can add static site entry in your hosts file, guide

    example:

    171.10.XX.X example.com

    2. Use WP CLI command to export site

    3. Login to your site management tool eg: cPanel to export site.

    4. Contact your old hosting provide to share backup.

Disclaimer : Use all the methods mentioned above at your own risk

    I hope this helps!
