I attempted to create a testing server in Dreamweaver for an existing WordPress site on localhost, did something wrong and now have no access to the Dashboard and all pages are now blank. All was working fine up to this point and had been for weeks.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

  • Can you link to a live site?

    Hi Krishna:

    It’s on Localhost only.

I’ve been working on a new site to replace an existing one, therefore it’s only on localhost for now. The live site hasn’t been affected.

Can’t make a guesswork without seeing what went wrong, sorry.

Do you remember what you did? It sounds like you were editing the PHP files.

Try to switching to the default theme by renaming the current theme folder to something else and deleting all your plugins (backup first!). If the site still doesn’t load with no plugins and 2011 as the current theme, you’re going to have to start diagnosing what core changes you made that broke it.

Thanks for the offer of help, but I finally got the Dashboard up again and am in the process of reconstructing the site. I think I’m good… For now, anyway!

    This topic has been resolved.

hey @odouglas, a while back you posted a thread about not being able to see your dashboard for 404 page not found problem. how did you fix that?

I resetted my plug ins, fixed my database tables and i still cant seem to get inside!

    Please help
