You normally wouldn’t change your domain for that feature.

    What is your domain?

What folder is WordPress installed in?

Did you move the WordPress folder?

Hello, hskinn and MichaelH, I did the same thing not 3 – 4hours ago. I confess I do not know what I am doing. I started to change it, (the blog url then went into cPanel and redirected, went back and changed blog url in admin, tried to put everything back, but I have done something monumental. The address is https://jacjorjac.net/wintrow. the files are in the public_html/wintrow (still!) Now I can’t get my template, admin or anything else to work, oh dear! Please help

Me again! if you use https://jacjorjac.net we get nothing, and no access to wp-admin. I had this installed last week by ‘shadow’. Now I don’t know whether to uninstall (don’t know how to do that one…) or ? It has said various things like wp-login.php not found on this server. and wp-admin

Hi, this is my first time posting a question / issue.

I tried to updgrade to WordPress 2.5.1 using the Automatic Upgrade plugin that WordPress official documentation recommended (https://techie-buzz.com/wordpress-plugins/wordpress-automatic-upgrade-plugin.html)

After I entered my FTP info, and hostname, nothing happened.

When I tried to manage the plugin through wp-admin, I found that I couldn’t access any part of wp-admin. The funny thing is that my site runs fine, but I have no way to access the back end.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I can see wp-admin folder in my file directory… I just can’t access the wp-admin login page.

    Hi vivedj,

I have the same thing, I can see my folder and have checked permissions through FTP yet when I try to login, I get a 403 error for my wp-admin page…

and, I run another blog on my site, in a different directory that I also upgraded to 2.5.1 and that one works perfectly !

not sure what to do now !

Hi everyone, just want to let you know that I got impatient and completely reinstalled WP 2.5.1 (with a new database). Everything seems to be working fine now. Of course, I lost all my posts and comments though! I strongly advise NOT USING the WP Automatic Upgrade Plugin in https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Upgrading_WordPress – that’s when things started to go wrong and I couldn’t access my old database even after backing it up and restoring it.

Good luck everybody – hope you don’t have to make as drastic of a move.
