Lost all my order numbers after site migration

  • Hey,

    I’m looking for some support.

    I recently did a big upgrade of all plugins to their latest version on a staging environment, before migrating to the live environment.

    I kept all the orders from the original site but all of my sequential order numbers have been lost! Can anyone point me in the right direction where they are in the database? Or any bespoke help to retrieve them?

    Thank you for contacting us about our Sequential Order Numbers plugin. I’m happy to help!

    The additional data for your sequential order numbers is available between the following two order meta fields:
    _order_number_meta
    _order_number_formatted

    You can read a bit about why the order numbers are structured this way in the notes for developers section on our product page: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/woocommerce-sequential-order-numbers/

    I’d recommend starting out by confirming that the data is available within those meta fields. If the data is missing, the cause would be an issue with the migration process.

    If data appears to be available, I would attempt to rule out the possibility of a conflict with an updated plugin on your site. You can do so by running your site on a default theme such as Storefront or TwentySeventeen with only WooCommerce and WooCommerce Sequential Order Numbers active.
