Lost backup

    I installed UpdraftPlus Backup because of its rating. After doing a full backup I received an email message that “The backup apparently succeeded and is now complete”. As I wanted the backup stored on my PC I selected email but where is my backup? All I received was the message above.
    I don’t wish to use other download options as they cost, although ftp might be a free option. However as there are no instructions I was at a loss to know how to proceed. Please help me find my backup. Thanks.

    Hi,

    The email remote storage option has a significant drawback in that email attachments can only be so large (typically around 25Mb). If the attachment is too large, the email will fail to send.

    We usually recommend only using email as a test remote storage option, as backup files are usually larger than this limit.

    I would recommend trying one of the free options, such as Dropbox or Google Drive. The FTP option, if you want backups to your PC, would require you to have a FTP server running on your machine.
