Hi @joshkern, thanks for reaching out with that question. Unfortunately, when the plugin is removed, so is all the data associated with past revenue and campaigns. As you found, re-syncing will only send over subscriber data with orders, customers and products.

It’s an extended technical answer as to why, but it has to do w/ making sure unique store ID’s are created on each install. Campaign data is associated with those unique store ID’s.

I realize that doesn’t help a whole lot, and I can definitely see how this could impact things negatively, especially in cases where you’re troubleshooting a production environment. I’m going to take this situation up to our product team to see if there’s anything we could tweak in the future.

Don’t hesitate to get back in touch if you need anything else.

Hi @khungate, thanks for the quick response and explanation.

Is there anything I can do to restore this data?

I don’t recall any warnings about losing data, whether in the WP admin area or when reviewing other support ticket responses on this forum. If data is lost permanently, this should be clearly documented.

@khungate I have the old store ID. I assume replacing the new store ID with the old store ID in the database wouldn’t work, correct?

As an alternative, is any campaign data stored in the database? For example, if an order has meta data that shows which email campaign it’s associated with, I could pull this from the database and use it on a spreadsheet.

For anyone who wants to recover their lost campaign revenue data, it is possible. You can identify which orders are associated with a Mailchimp campaign in the wp_postmeta table that have a mailchimp_woocommerce_campaign_id meta_key.

@joshkern And how did you re-link it ?

@nitsanel I couldn’t re-connect the data to Mailchimp. I saved the data to a spreadsheet.
