Lost Categories

    I lost all my categories and I have no clue how. I was testing out new themes and all of a sudden ALL my categories disappeared. But the worst part is I cant add them back because it says they already exist! Where can i either find them or get it to let me add them back? Please help

    Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-related problems?

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
