Lost categories line

    Please help me if you can.
    Few days ago, my bar (line) with the categories under the main, cover, pisture was lost. Everything is normal with the setting. I changed the theme and the categories are visible, but with my current theme, they can not be seen. My current theme is custom made.
    Is there any problem with wordpress or is it just me?
