I can not locate my “Childify Me” button. I’m not very savvy with wordpress but I was able to get this far and have a working site til now. I am trying to get to my style sheet where I made my own personal changes to my theme. I was using it just fine, all my style settings are still working on my site so I know it still exists but where? But I am unable to find it to continue to make adjustments ie font size. I have gone to Appearance – Customize as well, and that page has changed too…it allows me to do nothing but upgrade. Any suggestions on how to find my button so I can access the style sheet?

    Hi @magickhapns,
    are you running a child-theme?
    As written in the FAQ

I’m in Appearance -> Customize but I cannot find the “Childify Me” button, why?
Is your theme a non-child theme? Childify Me is designed to make child themes only for non-child themes.

    WordPress doesn’t allow the child-themes of a child-theme.

Also: the whole purpose of this plugin is creating a child-theme. Once this is done you can even disable this plugin, as it will not do anything anything else. ??

Not sure what happened to your Appearance – Customize. What’s you’re theme?

Anyway I suggest you to disable this plugin, once the child-theme is created you don’t need it anymore to customize your child-theme.
The cause of your issue should not depend (99%) by this plugin.

Thanks Rocco for your quick response. Please bare with me as I try to understand. You asked if I’m running a child theme…I believe I am. I originally had Customizr, then I downloaded this plugin so I can edit and customize my site. When I did it asked that I give my new them a name…I did and now that’s the theme I’m running…so yes I’m running a child theme. Once I did this I was able to access the style.css page where I coded all my customizations…which are still present on my site. But, I no longer can access this style page…I thought that was where the Childify me button came in, but from your response I must be confusing it. All I want is to be able to pull up the style page where all my edits are so I can tweak some font sizes on my site.

    From your dashboard.
    In Appearance -> Themes
you can see your active theme (is the first one of the list).
You should be able to recognize it’s a child-theme.
If not, hover over the theme thumbnail and click on “Theme details”. A window will pop up and you should se something like “This is a child theme of SOMETHEME”.

The theme/child-theme style.css should be accessible through Appearance -> Editor

If you don’t have that Editor item, I suggest you to disable your plugins as one of them might hide it.

    Hope this helps.

Yes I did hover over it and it says “This is a child theme of Customizr.” So far so good. But the Editor button is not there…so I’ll be disabling plugins to see which on it is. Thanks again Rocco for you patience and time I really appreciate it!

    Do you use ithemes security?
In this case the following link might help

YES! Just before I read your message I worked systematically through the plugins and the iThemes Security was the one that hid my Editor. Everything is working again. You’re awesome…thanks for the link!
