Lost confidence of author/plugin

Samuel Wood (Otto) is a member of the www.ads-software.com Team, he is not the plugin’s author (who is fireproofsocks).

The WordPress Team had to edit the plugin (reversing to the last “good” version 0.9.8.6) beacuse the original author does not reply since a long time and other “authors” could have made malicious modifications.

I really lost confidence in original author fireproofsocks who used to be very reactive in helping with bugs/request but now he no longer is.

and WORDPRESS must have “fireproofsocks” identity. what a shame they cant reveal it in these circumstances. I hope his details have been past onto the Police. We need crackdowns on this sort of behaviour, and a name and shame policy so we may avoid this clown in future going forward.

I’ve talked to the plugin’s author before, so I’d be more likely to think he was hacked than any malicious behavior on his part.

I have his email address somewhere, so I’m going to contact him and see what is up…
