• I am new to WP. We lost our developer, so I had to take over. After the update, My header has changed and I have completely lost all my footer links on each page. It looks like our developer used Twenty Twelve, but I see nothing to help with restoring/accessing my old footer links. My header image resized and the drop down menu has relocated to above the header image as well. I can, hopefully, work with that , but I have no idea as to where to begin with all the footer data.
I will add that after the update, I received an error message regarding the storage limit on my server, when trying to manipulate the header. I updated the storage with our host/server and now I can manipulate the header, but still have no clue where the footer data went.
    I have updated my plugins.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks!

  • Can you give me your site link ?

    Thanks

Hi, I’ve got the same problem. Yesterday my footer has disappeared. I don’t know what else could have caused this. What can I do?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    My site: test.motivatiespiegel.nl

Your footer is there in page but it is hidden !!!

I think, need to do CSS Code to unHide it !! Thanks

    Hi, thanks for the help!

I do not understand how or why it was hidden. But I solved the problem:

First check if somehow the footer widgets are “deactivated” after browserupdate or after a back-up with BackWPup. I had to restore deactivated footer widgets and the problem was solved.

First I did a roleback to an earlier version of WP. I don’t know if that was necessary after all. I’m back with 4.5.0. again now. Here is a link:
