Lost Images in media library

    Hi.

    I have tried upgrading to WP 2.7 and at first it looked OK.
    However when i looked in the media library and tried adding an existing image to an existing page, no images appeared in the libraryfor selection and inclusion.

    Looked around for a solution but found none. So i decided to revert back to 2.6.5. This has been successful, but i now have the same problem in the reverted setup!

    What is wrong?
    The images are still in the ‘uploads’ folder and the folder has full ‘write’ access as it did before.
    Is there a problem in the database?
    All the images appear in the pages, posts etc. as they did originally, so no problems on the surface.

    BTW i haven’t tried uploading another image yet.
    The site is due to be handed over to my client soon.

    Added: i have uploaded a new image and it appears in the library, but all previously uploaded images do not.

    BTW, i have tried the relevant ‘fixes’ in the Sticky post “Image/Media Uploader problems?”.

    Including the:

    “a) Specify the correct URL to the upload directory in the “optional” field just below the custom image path field.”

    I think this problem is my mistake, although i can’t be certain.
    I might try upgrading again later.

    I think it was the way i transferred the data from my test server to the live server.
