Lost Images on Boxes Below Sliders

  • In the WordPress Customizer I chose a Background Image and when I hit “Publish” all images on the sliders and boxes disappeared. I was quickly able to recover all Slider images by reinstaling the Feature Image for each slider–no problem. But doing the same for the 12 post boxes below the sliders did nothing–there are no images, only boxes in different shades of blue. The content and functionality within the 12 posts is still there when I click on any of the boxes, but I can’t get the Featured Images to show on the boxes. Is there something that’s overriding them? Thanks in advance for your advice.
    (I don’t know if this is relevant, but no tags or categories have been established for the 12 posts, but they were imaging perfectly before.)
