• I had an important entry that came through on WP Form Lite. I received a notification suggesting that I back up the entry. I did. Then I received a notification that I needed to upgrade to see the entry. I did. Then, all previous entries were lost. When I contacted support; they did not deny this problem. It seems that signing up for the “Lite” plugin has posed problems for others in retrieving any data that was entered into the forms. I have no problems paying for great plugins, and the only thing I can say through my utter disappointment of losing valuable data, is that maybe it’s a blessing that it happened now. I’ll be a Ninja girl all the way now.

    Hi @drtricia,

Thanks for writing in and I apologize for any inconvenience caused by this. However, I believe that this might have occurred due to some confusion and I can definitely share some details to clarify it.

Currently, no entries are stored for backup in the free version of WPForms unless you have the Lite Connect feature enabled (more details on that?here). The main reason entries are not stored in WPForms Lite is due to WordPress guidelines. We’re not allowed to lock entries behind a paid license level which is why we created Lite Connect to allow users to opt into the Lite Connect feature. This allows users to recover the entries that were made from the time Lite Connect is enabled.

If you’d like to see if and when Lite Connect was enabled, please go to WPForms > Tools > System Info (screenshot). Here’s a link to a guide with more details about the System Info.

However, if you had enabled that option and still the entries were not recovered, then our team would be able to help. I would suggest you submit a support ticket as this falls under the paid feature of WPForms.

Additionally, all form submission info is also sent to your site’s administrator email address by default, unless you have any settings changed in the notification settings. So, you could check the inbox to see if you can find the form submission data there.

If you have an active license subscription with us, could you please submit a support ticket through the WPForms?account dashboard?when you have a chance? Or, if you do not have an active license now, then you can still post this question on the WPForms Lite Support Forum.

I apologize again for the trouble but I hope this helps!

    Thanks!
