    Hi

Just started working at a company (in marketing) https://canadian.edu.sg

They have i) lost their login ii) lost their email iii) lost the developer who put up the site (his business went bust and now he won’t answer his phone)… as such, they can’t access their account & there is no developer working for them.

They do have hosting information (through MediaTemple) & other proof of ownership of the account. Is there anyway they can access their site or get a new password without having to do anything high tech?

(Sorry, I had to open this account to access Forums.)

    Thanks

    Please review https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Resetting_Your_Password

The methods listed there do not require access to the WordPress dashboard.

    Hi Jan

    Thanks for the quick reply.

However, none of these work for us… we have no email or password (both lost by the dev who set up the site… who is also now missing!), and the mysql and phpMyAdmin we have no idea about.

We want to know if WP can send a new password/login if we use a company email account & send docs from MediaTemple showing we run the site.

If this can’t be done, we are open to suggestions.

    Cheers.

It’s really between you and MediaTemple.

No one here can do anything like that, nor does anyone here have access to your host or self-hosted WordPress installation. Contact your hosting company and see if they are willing to do the things outlined in that link I gave you.

Jan Dembowski is right, your host is going to have more control over this issue, but worse case scenario, you can do a database backup of your site and try reinstalling it. If you have access to the phpMyadmin login info that will help.

    Hey there CECollege,

As far as WordPress is concerned, others here have provided some solid information. However, if you’re looking to gain access to a (mt) Media Temple account that you are not a listed contact on, but own, you can fill out a proof of ownership form and fax it in to us. More information on that is provided at the link below, however, I highly recommend you call in to our phone line for an issue like this.

At the link above, scroll down to “Account Owner Verification” on the right.
